Emma at One Young World Summit 2016

In 2016, Emma spoke at the One Young World Summit in Canada.

She discussed He for She with the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

While there, she spoke about gender equality and the importance of young people being involved in politics.

The work Emma does is truly inspiring, as well as the elegant and peaceful way in which she handles what she is passionate about.

Her speech:

Everything Em wore was eco friendly and made by Maiyet and Dior.

Vogue Italia 2015 Added to the Gallery

Emma covered the 2015 issue of Vogue Italia. I added the photos to the gallery, here.
I really like the haunting aspect of these photos, it's very different to anything I've seen Emma photographed in before.

Here's a backstage video of the photoshoot,

Emma is Elle UK's Woman of The Year 2017

Emma will be on the cover of the February 14th issue of Elle UK.

The shoot features an interview where she talks about Beauty & The Beast and her pursuits that are not related to acting.

She has also been awarded Elle UK's Woman of The Year Award at the Elle Style Awards, Monday Feb. 13th.

Some excerpts from the interview:

On Beauty and The Beast, 'For me, Beauty was the perfect, most joyful thing to do... There was something connected about Hermione and Belle, and it was good to be reminded that I am an actress; this is what I do. The film is pure escapism.'

Taking time off from acting for her activism, 'It wasn't about me necessarily proving anything... I was just thinking that I have this year to myself, so let's see what we can do to 'move the needle' and make a difference.'

Dealing with critics, 'It really toughened me up... There is a level of criticism that comes with being an actress and a public figure, which I expect, but once you take a stance on something like feminism, that's a completely different ball game.

On weather or not she'll write a book, 'I need to see and do a bit more first... I'm no expert, and when people push me into a corner of "here' Emma Watson to lecture you on feminism", it's uncomfortable because I am aware I have a long way to go. I am not sure I deserve all the respect I get yet, but I'm working on it."

What I love is that Elle UK worked with Eco Age to promote ethical and sustainable clothes for Emma's interview. If you follow Emma's instagram, you know she often sports fair trade or even recycled clothing pieces.

ELLE UK:

For our main fashion story with Emma Watson, ELLE UK worked closely with Eco-Age, an ideas consultancy promoting ethical and sustainable ways to dress, and home of the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC).

The goal was to showcase brands that are reducing the impact they have on people and the planet, including vintage clothing, which has a huge role to play in reducing the fashion industry's global footprint. Each of the brands featured in the shoot were assessed against Eco-Age's GCC principles for Sustainable Excellence, which address a range of social and environmental impacts typically caused by the fashion industry.
