Emma at One Young World Summit 2016

In 2016, Emma spoke at the One Young World Summit in Canada. 

She discussed He for She with the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

While there, she spoke about gender equality and the importance of young people being involved in politics.

The work Emma does is truly inspiring, as well as the elegant and peaceful way in which she handles what she is passionate about.

“leave no families behind”

This charity, founded by J.K. Rowling is dedicated to helping create better lives for the millions of children institutionalized for reasons like poverty, disability and race and is striving to create a better system where children can stay with their families and grow with the love and care they deserve. Over 80% of the children sent to these institutions are not orphans. Those who grow up in the institutions are 500 times more likely to commit suicide. Lumos is a beautiful charity, using 100% of the donations for their program.

UN Speech

Emma gave a beautiful speech on gender equality for United Nations Women this past September. She spoke not only of the importance of equality but also of her own experiences and what lead her to consider herself a feminist.
